Clean Up

It's only fair that we start picking up our celebratory gifts today.  After all, it's 3 days after Christmas and our living room is starting to look like an obstacle course.  

We decided that the best way to conquer this task is to divide.  Riley took her room, Ellie claimed her room and I started with the kitchen.  Dogs were enjoying the beautiful, sunny day outside and Cooper was free to circle the kitchen/living room/playroom.  Great start.  Just as I finished vacuuming the kitchen, something looked a little off…   What's that?? 

Looking a little closer I can see that it's toilet paper.   Yes, Cooper has been known to unravel the entire roll and leave it there (or carry it with him).  But I just cleaned up a handful of TP only minutes ago… only it was dry...

 I'm starting to gag.  Dogs are outside.  I can't believe this!!  COOPER!!!?????

When Riley and Ellie were little, they NEVER. NEVER. played in the toilet water.  I don't even think they knew how to lift the lid!!  Well, at least it was clean toilet water… In the mean time, as I am typing this, I hear commotion…

GEESH!  Dogs have been fed…AGAIN.  I need a nap.

Maybe I'll start in here first…but I have to watch his E.V.E.R.Y. move...

The tag reads "up to 25 pounds"… YES!  Here we go!

We received a special package in the mail today.  We decided that it must be the First Gift of Christmas.  So we opened it...

I think Cooper is beginning to get the hang of it!

A talking cell phone!  Great gift for Cooper, although Ellie is having fun with it, too!

OH MY GOODNESS!!  The sweater is ADORABLE!!  Check out the patches on the elbows!!

Our Christmas Cards arrived.  TODAY.  That's right.  Ten shopping days before Christmas.  Let's hope I can whip them and ship them out TONIGHT!  Merry Christmas and Happy Everything from our busy home to yours! :)

14 Months

W.O.W.  THIS is what it means to have time fly!  Cooper is everything we wished for AND MORE!  In his 14 months of life, Cooper can:

* Follow directions (get the book, find the orange ball, give Ellie a kiss, give Sandie rubbies, wash your hands, Cooper eat, turn off the television, respect the word "no"...sometimes..., brush teeth, and hug)

*run.  It's his only mode of transportation these days..

*climb UP stairs well

*face forward in his car seat

*reach 20 pounds, 2 oz. and 31 inches 

We love you, Cooper!

 

Did I mention...?

I was NOT going to share these next two photos for two reasons: 1. It's not a very "happy" photo.  2.  The setting may be used for our holiday cards.  HOWEVER, we all laugh when we see these pictures and sometimes it just feels good to let it all out!!!

Frightful little thing, isn't he?

 He was Chewbacca, from Star Wars.  He tolerated the fuzzy, brown leggings but had NO INTENTIONS of wearing the cute, brown, fuzzy hat.   These were the best pictures I could get.    Fun times :)

Pumpkin Pickins and Shoes

Today was a lovely day for the pumpkin patch.  It was Cooper's first time picking out his own.  Although it was a bit chilly, we had fun picking out the perfect ones!

But there was SOMETHING not right with his left shoe?!  He refused to wear it...so we put it in the wagon and he pushed it!
